Minister of works and housing Babatunde Raji Fashola is currently on inspection of the lagos ibadan expressway reconstruction project.

The minister and his team started the monitoring from the section 1 of the project at otedola bridge bridge where he was briefed on the level of completion.
On section 2 of the project which is from sagamu interchange up to the old toll gate, federal controller of works in ogun state umar Bakare explained to the minister that the project has been achieved 81.6%, with optimism from the contractor to deliver by may 2021.
Managing Director, Nigeria Sovereign investment authority, Uche orji noted that the funding for the road has been secured, adding that Lagos Ibadan expressway will be tolled after completion.
Meanwhile the Minister is holding a town hall meeting with all relevant stakeholders and communities at ogere truck park in Ogun state to address some issues arising from the road reconstruction.
