TCN RESTORES POWER SUPPLY AFTER GRID COLLAPSE

The Transmission Company of Nigeria TCN says it has restored bulk power to all the 330KV transmission stations across the entire grid by 5:54pm yesterday following system collapse that resulted to power outage in most parts of the country.

330KV substations feed 132KV substations through which distribution companies offtake electricity and deliver to customers.

Confirming the development, one of the distribution Companies, Abuja Electricity Distribution Company AEDC says power supply has been restored in all it’s franchise areas.

TCN had on Wednesday reported total system collapse of the grid as a result of voltage collapse at some parts of the grid with a commitment to restore full supply as soon as possible
