The Senate is to receive briefings from service chiefs, Director General of the National Intelligence Agency and other security heads on the State of ⁴Nigeria’s security situation.
The meeting scheduled to be the only item on the order Paper for Thursday the 6th of April 2021 is expected to provide first hand information that will equip the legislators make informed recommendations on how to address Nigeria’s security challenge.
On the other hand, Senator Uche Ekwunife drew the attention of the Senate to the fire outbreak at the popular Nkpor Motor spare parts market in Anambra state on the 26th of April 2021.
The motion called for Urgent National intervention by the federal government through the provision of relief materials to victims by the National Emergency management Agency while the ministry of Humanitarian Affairs disaster management and social development is to provide cash to the traders to help them cushion the effect of the fire disaster.
