
Senate has reaffirmed it’s resolve to continue to work as partners in progress with the various security agencies in the country.
President of the Senate Ahmad Lawan was speaking shortly before the commencement of a scheduled security meeting with Chief of Defence staff, Service Chiefs, Inspector General of Police and heads of Security agencies.
He acknowledged the role of the military so far in fighting against insecurity in Nigeria which he said is affected by insufficient resources.
The President of the Senate observed that the engagement with security Chiefs will enable Nigerians see better ways and means of providing the necessary resources to enable them strenghten the armed forces.
Senator Lawan noted that addressing the current national security challenge will improve Nigeria’s economy and make it a hub for investment in Africa.
