Senate has passed the Nigerian Police academy bill 2020, the bill seeks to provide legal backing to degrees awarded by the Institution located in Wudil, Kano state.
The Police training school already in existence lacks the legal framework to award degree certificates Eight years after it was upgraded by the federal government.
The primary aim of the bill is to reposition and improve service delivery in the Nigerian Police.
Senate has confirmed the nomination of Seven Persons as Members of the National commission for persons with disabilities with Suleiman Kangiwa as Chairman.
Three persons were also confirmed as executive directors of the board of the federal roads maintenance agency.
Senate has passed the 2020 FCT appropriation Act repeal and re-enactment Bill of 199.2 billion Naira as grand total for recurrent and capital expenditure.
