
Senate is considering a proposed law that seeks to establish the institute of Bitumen management.
The bill sponsored by Senator Nicholas Tofowomo has passed second reading and is expected to expand Nigeria’s source of revenue through Bitumen exploration and to produce the desired Manpower to drive the sector.
The federal capital territory College of Nursing and Midwifery establishment Bill sponsored by Senator Sani Musa also passed Second reading, it seeks to give legal backing to the already existing College.
Meanwhile, the Senate through a motion by Senator Emmanuel Bwacha has urged the Acting inspector General of Police, the Police Service Commission and the National Judicial Council to investigate alleged unlawful detention of 14 indigenes of Taraba South Senatorial District by the state commissioner of Police.
