SENATE CONSIDERS RURAL DEVELOPMENT AGENCY BILL

The senate is considering a bill that seeks to establish a National Integrated Community Development Agency.

The bill sponsored by Senator Stella Oduah is also targeted at putting in place a Cordinated programme that will improve the livelihood of rural dwellers through infrastructural boost.
Reduction of poverty especially among rural dwellers in line with the National economic empowerment development strategy remains the major objective of the agency when established.
The bill for the establishment of a unified scheme for a sound financial system that will facilitate and improve credit repayment Culture in Nigeria sponsored by Senator Sani Musa also passed second reading.
Senate has passed Five Bills for First reading, this include, the 2021 FCT appropriation bill, economic and financial crimes commission Act amendment bill and the Oaths Act amendment bill.
