SENATE CALLS FOR EXIT OF SERVICE CHIEFS

The Senate has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to immediately initiate processes that will see to the exit of the current service chiefs.


This followed a motion by Senator Kashim Shettima on the killing of farmers in Borno state over the weekend which urged the Federal government throught it’s concerned bodies to provide relief to Victims of that attack.


It further called on the federal government to recruit Ten Thousand Civilian Joint Task Force in Borno state into the various security forces, restructure and remodel the Nation’s entire security architecture and for the federal government to probe the Management of funds disbursed to the Military so far.


Senate has Confirmed the reappointment of Prof. Mahmood Yakubu as INEC Chairman as it received executive communication requesting the consideration of the Finance bill 2020.
