POWER SECTOR RECORDS ANOTHER ALL-TIME PEAK OF 5,459.50 MEGA WATTS

The Nigeria’s power industry has again attained another all-time peak of 5,459.50 Mega Watts of electricity, efficiently transmitted through the nations transmission grid.

A statement by the General Manager, Transmission Company of Nigeria TCN, Ndidi Mbah states that the  milestone in generation is higher than any peak ever recorded in the nation’s power industry as at date.

The new peak TCN says surpasses the 5,420.30 Mega Watts achieved in  August, 2020 by 39.20 Mega Watts.

Acting Managing Director, TCN, Sule Ahmed Abdulaziz commends all players in the power sector value chain and attributes the gradual but steady improvement in the quantum of power delivery to collaboration by the sector players as well as the unbridled effort of the Federal Government, through the Ministry of Power, in setting the right environment for seamless operations.
