NSIWC TO BEGIN MINIMUM WAGE IMPLEMENTATION MONITORING NATIONWIDE

TO ADDRESS ISSUES ASSOCIATED WITH THE REVIEW OF NATIONAL MINIMUM WAGE, THE NATIONAL SALARIES, INCOMES AND WAGES COMMISSION WILL BE EMBARKING ON MONITORING OF COMPLIANCE ON THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE NATIONAL MINIMUM WAGE TO ENABLE GOVERNMENTS AND EMPLOYERS PLAN AHEAD FOR THE NEXT NATIONAL MINIMUM WAGE.
THE CHAIRMAN OF THE COMMISSION, EKPO NTA SAYS, THE IDEA WHICH WILL BE AN INTER-AGENCY COLLABORATION IS MEANT TO GATHER EVIDENCE ON COMPLIANCE AND DIFFICULTIES FACED BY STAKEHOLDERS.
SIIMILARLY, TO SUCCEED IN THE FORMULATION OF REMUNERATION POLICIES ESPECIALLY IN SPECIFIC SECTORS LIKE HEALTH AND EDUCATION PARTICULARLY AT TERTIARY LEVELS, THE COMMISSION IS REQUESTING FOR UPDATED STATISTICS OF STAFF IN FEDERAL HOSPITALS, MEDICAL CENTRES AND CLINICS IN MINISTRIES, DEPATRMENTS AND AGENCIES.
