The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) is resuming enrolment services for the National Identification Number (NIN) at all it’s offices nationwide. This follows resolution of glitches experienced since January 6, 2021
A statement by the Commission’s head of Corporate Communications, Kayode Adegoke recalls that enrolment services were temporarily disrupted when the local chapter of the Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria (ASCSN) of NIMC embarked on an industrial action.
The statement adds that prompt intervention of the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr. Isa Ali Pantami, saved the day.
The Director-General of NIMC, Engr. Aliyu Aziz now says the agency is set to continue its regular functions, including the NIN enrolment, while assuring staff and Nigerians of adherence to COVID-19 protocols.
