The Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has admitted in evidence, some documents listing the educational certificates submitted by the Edo state governor Godwin Obaseki, to contest the September 2020 governorship election.
The documents tendered in evidence were listed in the nomination form which the governor submitted to INEC.
The presiding judge, Justice Ahmad Mohammed overruled the objections by the counsel to governor Obaseki and the PDP.
The court ruled that the admissibility of form ec9 tendered by the 2 plaintiffs, APC and Williams Edobor, was crucial to the case.
In the pre-election matter, the plaintiffs are praying the court to set aside the participation of governor Obaseki, alleging the existence of some irregularities in his educational certificates.
The matter has been adjourned to Wednesday, 30th December 2020.
