The Campaign for Equal Voting Access, a programme of the Centre for Citizens with Disabilities (CCD) has commended INEC for priority voting accorded vulnerable groups like the aged, nursing mothers and pregnant women as well as persons with disabilities in the Ondo Governorship Election.
In a preliminary statement signed by its Chairman, David Anyaele, the group said its observers across Ondo State reported that a large number of Polling Units provided priority voting to vulnerable groups.
The group however identified difficulty in accessing polling units for physically challenged persons and inadequate braille materials and sign language interpreters as challenges which INEC need to review and improve upon.
