EKITI FLOOD: FAYEMI PLEDGES GOVERNMENT’S INTERVENTION

Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti state has promised to assist the victims of the flood disaster which occured in some parts of the state on Thursday.

He was speaking at the palace of Alawe of Ilawe Ekiti Oba Adebanji Alabi during an on the spot assessment of the areas affected by the flood.

The palace of the monarch in Ekiti south west local government was one of the structures submerged by the flood.

Governor Fayemi directed officials of the state emergency management agency and other relevant agencies to move to Ilawe to ascertain the level of the damage caused by the flood.

He appealed to the people of the state to imbibe maintenance culture and desist from acts capable of endangering their lives and communities.
