EFCC CHAIRMAN ON SEIZED DIEZANI LOOT

Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC, Abdulrasheed Bawa has told the House of representatives Representatives adhoc Committee investigating the status of recovered looted funds and assets that property seized from former petroleum minister Diezani Madueke was valued at 80million dollars.

The EFCC Chairman also said that jewelry seized from Diezani is worth more than 14billion naira.
All these he explained are yet to be disposed of by the Commission.

Concerned that keeping an asset be it liquid or physical over a long period of time could affect their value, the committee urged that agencies should endeavor to dispose the assets and transfer amounts accrued from the auction to appropriate accounts of the federal government.
