The Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) is seeking support from the United Kingdom (UK) Government in the ongoing fight against terrorism in the Lake Chad region.
A statement by the
Chief Military Public Information Office, MNJTF HQ, N’Djamena, Chad Col.Mohammed Dole indicates that, the
Force Commander (FC), MNJTF, Major General Ibrahim Manu Yusuf, Deputy Defence Advisor at the British High Commission in Nigeria Lieutenant Col.Bobby Gillespie and the representative of the Lack Chad Basin Commission are meeting in N’Djamena,Chad and Maiduguri,Borno state to further solicit intervention to enhance the ongoing sub regional fight against Terrorism.
Co.Dole notes that the UK Government had supported the MNJTF through the provision of Operational vehicles, rough terrain motorcycles, communication equipment amongst other items.
