The Chief of Army Staff Lt.-Gen. Tukur Buratai, has enjoined troops not to be distracted by move by International Criminal Court (ICC) to investigate war crimes against Nigerian forces in the north East.

The Army Chief’s message contained in a statement by the Acting Director, Army Public Relations, Brig.-Gen. Sagir Musa notes that, the ICC statement followed by a release by the local branch of Amnesty International demanding investigation of alleged atrocities by Nigerian forces has the tendancy to distract and demoralise troops

The Nigerian Army charged the troops to be focused, and be guided by the Rules of Engagement, the Code of Conduct and the Standing Operating Procedures for all Nigerian Army Operations.
