President Muhammadu Buhari is participating in the meeting of the Federal Executive council from his residence in Daura, Katsina State.
This is the first time, the President will be virtually doing so in the new normal.
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo is presiding over the meeting which is the 37th in the series for the year 2020 and 28th to be held virtually since the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic.
Physically present in the executive council chambers are the Chief of Staff to the President, Acting Secretary to the Government of the Federation, National Security Adviser and Fifteen Ministers.
Other members of the council including the Head of service of the Federation are joining the meeting online from their offices across the nation’s capital, Abuja.
Dozens of memoranda from Ministries, Department and Agencies are expected to be considered for possible approval.
Some Ministers will also be engaged on the fact finding and strategic missions to their states of origin in the aftermath of the endsars protests in parts of the country.
The Federal Executive council is the highest policy decision making body of the Nigerian government.
