The All Progressives Congress has appealed for public support for the new service chiefs as they perform their constitutional roles of protecting the country’s territorial integrity and tackle emerging security threats.

Caretaker and Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee the party is confident that the new service chiefs will consolidate on the achievements of their predecessors in keeping the country safe and peaceful through increased synergy among the armed forces.
The Statement describes recent incidents in the country as counterproductive and dangerous to national security when people put ethnic spins to issues of security.
The party wants peaceful coexistence and mutual understanding among Nigerians, irrespective of the part of the country they choose to live and work.
