Accidental detonation of device has injured seven children at a residence in Unguwan Mangworo ,Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna state.
A report by the state Commissioner of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan says the affected children while playing picked up the material from a nearby farm not knowing what it was. In the process, it detonated injuring seven.
While expressing shock over the incident, Governor Nasir El-Rufai says his relief is that the injured children are receiving treatment.
He tasked security agencies to conduct a detailed investigation into the incident, urging citizens to increase their vigilance towards the presence of such items around residential areas.
